Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not addressed here, please call +1 (423) 467-9864 or use the Info Request Form, and you will receive a prompt reply.

Q: What types of services are offered?

A:  Anything involved in marketing communications—ways to present your brands, individual products, or company to trade or consumer buyers.  Typical projects include sales literature, brochures, press releases, package design and re-design, and promoting trade show appearances.

Q: How much do you charge?

A:  Retainer arrangements with clients begin at $300 per month.  In this case, we are ‘on call’ to perform the duties of chief communications officer for four or five hours each month.  Additional hours are billed as needed and agreed to by you.

Often, clients prefer to work on a project basis where everything (creative time, design fees, photography, consulting hours, printing, shipping, etc.) is all laid out in advance of a project beginning.

Choose the method that you feel best fits you circumstance.  For more information, visit the Working With Clients page.

Q: What special experience/knowledge do I get for my money?

A:  You're hiring broad experience in marketing communications that is grounded first in territory sales management, but also includes executive level ad agency experience and years as a marketing director for a CPG manufacturer.

Q: Can I control the activities and fees?

A:  Absolutely!  You are always in control of costs, budgets and purchase decisions.  My job is to help you maximize the return on your marketing communications dollar, and though we work as a team to address you needs, there’s never a question of who is the boss.

Q: Why is a retainer arrangement better for me than project-based work?

A:  Clients on a retainer arrangement have two distinct advantages over clients on a project basis.  1) Your monthly retainer fee buys mind share and a willingness to think ‘off the clock’ for solutions on how to meet your communications needs, and 2) retained clients are billed at a preferential hourly rate versus a one-time project arrangement.  Loyalty begets loyalty.

Q: You’re so far away—isn’t that a problem?

A:  If you visited the pressroom page, you may have seen I do quite a bit of business with companies in Tunisia, on the North Coast of Africa.  How much further away are you?
